Some good shots, but it seems like water, water everywhere! How about some shots with NO water? These filters are good for more than just shooting water.

So I have been slowly reading every page in this thread and I now finally get to add my first captures with a 10 -stop. I shot these with a Tiffen aXent filter. I think they give a red shift, but I tried to adjust WB in LR. But I am happy for my very first shots. I just bought the Tiffen one because it was a bargain (new $20 for a 67mm) and I thought I would practice with it before I spent high $$$$.

B+W 10 stop. Not sure if it seems a bit too bright after processing.

My greens came out a little wonky in my photos above. I think adding the HiTech grad filter really messes with the WB and it was very difficult to get the green to have that pop of spring color. My images almost look like it is fall. But I just took these a couple days ago.

Anyone else shooting with the Tiffen aXent filters? Any thoughts or some samples would be nice if you could post them if you have any.

Even with just the 10stop filter the color is off and I can't get it to look like the Original. Maybe I just need a high quality filter?

The cloud cover was moving relatively fast that afternoon, so I decided to practice my long exposure photography while I was at the Griffith Observatory here in SoCal... Converted to B/W for overall depth and feel... 1Ds3 + 16-35L II + Hoya Pro1 Digital CPL + Lee Big Stopper and 0.9 S.E. GND Filter (stacked)... ISO 50, f/13 @ 150 second exposure...

I have found that combining different filters is when I get color cast like this. It only seems to happen when I use a cheaper filter with my big stopper.

Combining other less expensive filters with my Big Stopper is the only time I have a problem with color cast like this.

I guess you have to do the best you can at matching the grades/quality of the filters. Even so, the Tiffen filter all by itself is still not creating an image like the original I posted, the colors are still coming out weird. So I might have to WB it manually or just buy a better filter. Maybe the Haida is better even though it's still $50.00. I might have to try that one out. I was just expecting more from a brand name like Tiffen. Yet I have never really been satisfied by that brand. It was cheap so I went for it.
