as mentioned, this is the comparison of the base file, to the Lee BS to the FH ProIRND 10 stop...nothing else changed. 3 images right in sequence.

I missed this somehow. I actually prefer the big stopper cooler version

Thanks for the kind words. It was certainly a different type of beach than I am used to. I have another shot I am still working on from up on the trail further down the coast.

Hitech 10 stop, Lee grad, 540 seconds.

I have processed this one 4 times now...I think I finally got it where I want it...it was a real PITA...my first real try at shifting with LE when the clouds were actually moving...3 images vertical, shifted left and right from center, 90 Seconds with the Lee .9 GND and Big Stopper.

and dammit if Flickr is not over sharpening again...those flippin halos around the rocks are NOT there on the original....

Love the long exposure and how the pattern in the clouds is mirrored in the wave.

Flick is a bit of a mystery. I ended up making an action in PS that creates 3 versions as layers with various amounts of brightness, saturation, and sharpening. I upload the various versions, mark them as "Private" before uploading and then evaluate which one I like the best, change it to "Public" and delete the others.

My first shot done with 10 stop ND filter. I need to learn a lot, but it was an interesting experience.

This bridge reminds me of a shot of mine also done with a 10 stop filter. I had no tripod with me so i simply used a ledge to rest my camera on:

16 stops ok for here...no need for another thread right...

my first real image with the FH Firecrest 16...and I bet I was at least a 1/2 to 3/4 stop underexposed, even at 8 minutes.

I have never shot one that long....I had plenty of time to chill out while it was going, that was for sure.

I dunno, I enjoy the exposure time, it gives me time to either absorb the place I am in or in the case of this one...do that and chat with one of my friends that was there...for me it is the hope that I did the math right on the calculation for the exposure! This one I was a little off but it turned out ok.

I keep recalculating the exposure and looking and acheing to see whats happening. Lol

once I hit the shutter...I just let it go...there is a good bit of anticipation though.
