Nice shot. Great movement.

Here is my latest shot of the SpaceX Falcon9 Launch at Cape Canaveral. I didn't use my 10 stop filter, but it is a long exposure made from many shorter exposures (approximately 230s equivalent).

Yes 3. Save yourself some cash and get the holder and adaptor rings from "the filter dude". Fully compatible with Lee, well built and cheap

I got my holder and adapter ring from the filter dude use its great quality! It also fits my Haida 100-series filters with no issues.

get haida then, it's great. Probably the cleanest most neutral filter.

I'm loving my Haida square filters. Still need to get the 10 stop once it's back in stock.

circ filter cons:
different sized lenses can make it clunky to work with
cross threading
no gradient
threading it on in general is not as fast as a clip
stacking can quickly add vignetting problems

I've found these adapters from Xume work great. Get an adapter for each circular ND filter (or other filters) and one adapter for each lens. Screw the ND filter into the adapter once and forget it. Just snap it to the magnetic adapter on the lens. It's a strong magnet that won't hurt your camera in any way.I read about it years ago here before I had any ND filters. Just bought a set and can't wait to try them out.

Reflection issue with Lee Big stopper, push on holder, and Zeiss 15.

Take a look guys, I consistantly get this when using this lens (I have the version with hood removed). Obviously it's worse the longer the exposure is. I have the eyepiece covered, and have even "shielded" the edges of the filters with my hand, yet it still comes up. I think it may be a reflection off the lens body itself from right outside the front element. Any thoughts?

Yes that is a reflection from the front elements on the back of the filter. I have gotten that if I get the filter in crooked in the holder.

I suppose that could be it but I'm not sure how I'm getting it crooked "every time". I'll take a look thought thanks!!

I've done very little editing on this image, just wanted to show the problem I'm getting.

I got this all the time on several ultrawide lenses and normal lenses actually when using my plate filters (including the big stopper). The moment I went back to lens hood options and screw on lenses with ultrawides, I didn't have that reflection anymore. This applied for me on things like the 35 F2 IS, 10-22, 17-40, etc. So it was all over the place. Florida sun is of course bright and always there, so I ended up trading out my plate filters and went back to screw-on circular filters for simplicity of lens hood options.

My guess is that it's like a Cokin filter gel. Sort of like a plate that slides into a holder that screws on to the front of the lens.

I can't find the old picture I took of my setup. Basically I put a thick towel over the camera and lens and used a bungee strap to hold the bottom together. All you could see was the front of the lens with the cheap welding glass I used to use as a nd filter. That took care of the issue I had which was similar to yours.

It's a normal lee holder, but it pushes into the lens instead of having adapter rings. I'll get you a link to it later at BH using my phone at the moment.
