I usually don't edit two images that look so similar...but this one I wanted to go monochrome with it, since it was before the sunrise, and was pretty void of color originally...so, I edited it anyway. Lee Little Stopper and Lee .9GND on the sky. 60 Seconds.

Hey guys,

I was able to source some material to use as a "light gasket" on the Big Stopper to use with the Zeiss 15mm. I put it in a separate thread just to make it more searchable. I thought I would put a link here since we discussed it.

This might be my first really long exposure at this time of day. I will probably re-process this image at some point... I have been learning a LOT more about hot pixels since this image had a lot of them, not to mention noise. Still, it's an interesting result I think. The image was exposed for 516 seconds... a little over 8.5 minutes.

ISO 200 is to blame for the noise...even the 5D2 had issues with that duration over ISO 100.

I finally got around to trying out my new Big Stopper and it is so much easier to handle than screw in filters and trying to stack the Lee Filter holder to that.

These were taken on a rather overcast day here in Scotland. I think the rest of the country experience sunshine that day.
I could have used the 6 stop screw in filter but I wanted to have a play with my new toy.
