I always like to find a way to (cheaply) recreate certain items. Since I found on Google a way to use a plumbing adapter (3" to 4" rubber), I came up with a way to mount welder's glass to the lens with some modifications. Quite a bit of vignetting, but with a little post, it's still better than I could get with my Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8.

This was shot at around f/6.3 (hard to tell with the clicks of the ring), ISO 100 for 20 seconds. If you have any questions, I'll try and answer. I also have a 10 Stopper MKIV Lightroom preset I found last year that got me close and then I white balanced off of the clouds. I'll have to try on a cloudy day sometime to see if I can make it longer.

You'll also see that there is a little lens flare in the top right, but this was my first attempt with the filter.

Here's the final image.

Fantastic shot. Looks like you may have gotten wet feet for this shot. The water is so clear, I'm not used to seeing the Hudson so clean looking. Well done. Thanks for sharing.
