Hi all! I was asked to shoot my sisters friend for graduation and had some fun with processing to black and white. What do you think? I was shooting for an edgy high contrast look.

I really like both pictures with the exception of the brightness. the first one with the detail of the shadow overall i think would be perfect and the second one just lower the brightness on her face. very nice

Thanks! compression for web definitely makes her face a little worse than it actually is, but you are absolutely right it does look better with a little less brightness in the face.

I like these a lot. I agree with KND on the face brightness in #2. I like the vignette at the top of #2, I think it could even be extended/darkened a little more and still look good; I think a similar vignette might help #1 also, just to avoid a totally white look at the top.


Some Canon stuff and a little bit of Yongnuo.
