This manipulation took me a good few hours to do; I had a very specific idea of what I wanted to achieve and it took me a very long time to get it right! This shot is part of my A Level Photography coursework, so I'd really like to hear some of your thoughts!

Any C&C much appreciated! :)

A look of fear perhaps? The guy on the right looks like me when I was in college sweating an upcoming physics exam.

I found the horizontal white line distracting.

I wanted to see if I can replicate what you did with push of a button, but it looks like you touched up the eyes a bit and some dodging and burning here and there :D

I agree on many of the things that were said here concerning the white line and other things. The sweat drop is really nicely recovered. My only real criticism is the corners of the eyes they look more like he was punched in the eye to have that blood red color. Other than that this is a great manipulation.

I think it's a great photo. I would recommend, however, that you clone out the zits on the nose and cheek. They are distracting.

Thank you. bw!

Thanks for all the comments! :)

I've cloned out the hair now on the edited image (I haven't uploaded it though), so no more distractions there! Anyway, in actual fact the 'sweat' is meant to be a tear (it's just water though), lol - can only girls cry? :p

The reason I decided to keep (enhance, even) the blemishes in this shot is because I always airbrush photos, and this time I wanted to try something a little different and keep it a little more 'realistic'.

In creating this image I used Photomatix Pro 3 to HDR it up and Paint Shop Pro 9 to warp it, dodge and burn it, airbrush it, clone parts of it, 'colour' it, and so on and so forth...

No Photoshop AT ALL! :D Pretty much everything has been done by hand just as an airbrushed painting would be. :)
