I was out with my family and shooting pics of my daughter ripping up the beach Daytona (FL) style in her electric Mustang and noticed about 20-30 people with cameras/tripods/etc. on the north pier.
Someone later told me that a rare Alaskan bird was spotted on Lake Michigan and people were out to get pics for about seven hours(!); until sunset. One guy drove all the way from Saginaw (Nikon).
Where are the pics?
I looked for MI birding boards and saw nothing, so I'm not sure how the word got out.
