Decided to try out my Sigma 120-400mm this morning and see how well I could do hand-held .. I am pretty happy with the sharpness even tho I didn't use a tripod... C&C always welcome!

All these look real good, but the Osprey. He looks maybe a little over saturated or too much contrast.

Thanks, Candor .. all I did with that one was a little bit of a crop.

Thanks, canonloader.. I had to crop the osprey shots since he was at the top of a pine tree and I sharpened a bit, perhaps a bit too much. I haven't done much of this type of photography yet, so I was pretty happy with the results. Thanks, again!

Very nice collection. I was pleased to see you using the Sigma 120-400 with excellent results as I recently acquired the same lens.

Thanks, Don1 .. since these were all handheld, I was pretty happy with the image stabilization feature on the Sigma .. it's a pretty heavy lens!

I just noticed your Zebra Finch .. my sister and I used to have a pair when we were kids, I still remember the male's peppy little song. I forgot how cute they were!
