So I was shooting a wedding a few weeks back using a Stroboframe and the off shoe cord 2 / 550EX... My battery grip started doing what they do (powering the 20D down on portrait shots from the weight of the frame and flash) so I removed the grip and reversed the camera in the frame for ease of use... well since Ireversed the frame I subconsciously grabbed the FLASH and yanked it to one side to change portrait orientation, but pulled it the wrong way
resulting in a loud SNAP of my off camera shoe cord 2. There goes $50
Long story longer, I called Canon and they had the replacement piece I needed for $8 and it's on the way. I'm glad I called and asked!
Moral of the story, if you break something, check and see if Canon sells the replacement part before you trash it and go buy a new one!
