There didn't seem to be any restrictions whatsoever. I was in Surprise, Mesa, Peoria and Scottsdale. I walked freely into each each stadium with my 7D and attached Sigma 120-300 2.8 + 1.4x tc + hood (not reversed) over my shoulder. That's about a 15in. total lens length. I also had my packed Domke F-2 with the 70-200 2.8 IS and Sigma 10-20, batteries, etc. Nobody asked to look in my bag or even gave me a second look.

Checking the stadium websites for security information (and other info like parking, etc.) was pretty much useless because the info is geared for MLB spring training and largely doesn't apply to the AFL. If I had known how lax it was going to be, I would have brought a monopod. Maybe next year....
