Would anyone have any sample shots/crops of canon 200mm f/2.8L II with 2x extender?
wondering if that combo is acceptable and and at which stop does it become usable... etc.
thanks for your time.

I have used it for shooting soccer and wildlife and was happy with the results- until I got my 300 f/2.8! PM me if you want the same file emailed to you....it's with a 50D as per Phil's request. Bob Thanks again for that raw file, Bob! I've now got a 2x Extender and took it out today for a trial run with the 200L & 50D. Blog

And thanks for sending me the file. When the light is fairly poor 1 stop is a big deal & I'd definitely get the 400L again (or even consider the 100-400) if I often needed that focal length. With a bit of care the 200L + 2x does fairly well - certainly well enough for the occassional use I'll put it to! Blog
