I went through and scribbled comments on the photos I thought could be a bit stronger - it just so happened I made ten comments!

Here goes -

2 - Needs focus on the eyes, not the peak of the cap
3 - Needs the runner's face
5 - Doesn't tell a story
6 - I'd like to see the next couple of frames to hit the key point of the action
9 - Ref makes it look cluttered
13 - Needs more of the face/eyes
19 - No. 12 in the foreground spoils the shot
24 - I'd prefer the focus on the faces
27 - The crop of the girl's hair is distracting
35 - I'd prefer a closer crop

Hope that's ok.

2 and 28 for me should definitely come out.

I like the framing of #2 as well as the intent, but the ball would have to be in focus for it to work as a photo. The DOF just doesn't fit the intended emotion.

#28 is confusing, it looks like a comedy shot as I don't know what the ball is doing and why the girls are flinching although I'd guess they are preparing for the incoming ball.

I think they're in the wall.

That is correct.

Thanks again to everyone for your time and input. The info has been extremely helpful and am getting a good idea which ones to drop and which to keep. I truly appreciate all the effort.

Well, I made my final selections. Thanks again to everyone for your input.

I deleted all the images that received at least 5 drop votes from this inquiry and a couple with less and took the total down to 20. The only exception was P 21 and is totally due to sentimental value. I also added a new picture that was not in the original list from a game just last night. It is included as P 36. I wanted another basketball shot and really liked this one.

If anyone wants to look over the final 20, I modified the gallery to show them.

Thanks again everyone and have a happy Thanksgiving.

Kevin,

It looks like you made some great decisions. You have a nice portfolio. Nice Job.
