Hey everyone! My sis in law wants a Nikon Coolpix L100 for Christmas this year. It's $179 at Amazon. I don't know a lot about point and shoot cameras. Is there a Canon model that I don't know about that I should talk her into? She just wants a good all around camera for taking snaps of her 3 little girls. (Always moving) She specifically wants a camera that will take the picture when you hit the shutter. I could tell her all about thousand plus dollar cameras, but for this I was hoping some of you could help me, help her! Thanks!!!

Per C-net the L100 has some issues

Look at the SX120 it's a better choice with a long zoom range at a similar price
My wire and daughter use a SD1200 to chase the kids with great results the SD's fit in a purse

that guy sounded disgusted with it. I played with one at walmart and it did not hold my attention for more than a few seconds.

Best bet would be for her to visit a local store that has several camera models on display to test and play with. She can decide there which model interests her.

As mentioned previously, the Canon SX-120 is a much better choice with better image quality and a better feature set.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving.
