Hi all,

Just wondering, If you could have a pick of any Canon DSLR and any lens (1 of each). What would they be?

1. Camera and why.

2. Lens and why.

Just wondering :)

1. 50D, I love my xsi but I want something a little heavier, but not something over the top for what I do.

2. 70-200 f/2.8 IS, for some reason I never take the tele-zooms off my camera

1. t1i. I already have a 40d. I want a backup but and to use the HD video with the DOF I can create. I'm able to do audio through another means (mic/computer). That way I can start booking some events and feel comfortable doing them.

2. something wide angle. Tokina 11-16 looks good.

1D Mark 4. Because I haven't had the lastest and greatest since I bought my F1n (film) camera when they came out. I would like to be state of the art for a few days at least.

24-70L Because thats what I need to complete my L set of zooms, maybe an 85L because of the incredible images I've seen taken with it.

1D4, because it looks like it will be Canon's overall best camera to date with a very strong feature set, great high-ISO performance, what looks to be great autofocus performance, and the sensor strikes a nice balance between MP and size as a 1.3 crop while giving some crop frame "reach" advantage over full frame.

For a lens, probably a 400mm f/2.8L IS for greater reach with good low-light capability.

Some Canon stuff and a little bit of Yongnuo.

If this were no cost then the most expensive camera + zeiss / hartblei superrotator 45mm TS lens - I'm not sure how much I'd use it, bit I can't imagine justifying it, but it looks like so much fun!

I just got the camera I wanted: the 7D.
I would get the 400MM f/4.0 DO lens, this would allow autofocusing with a 1.4TC and be hand holdable when tripods can't be used.

1. 5Dmk2 for increased ISO performance, overall IQ, and (most importantly for me) depth of field control.

2. 50mm F/1.2 L for F/1.2 (again with the depth of field control) in my favorite angle of view and L quality optics. and also because I already have the 135/2 L. :D

this set up would be a direct replacement for my 50D + 35L, which is the closest I can come for now.

I'd want the Mark4 for the simple fact that its the best of the best in Canon's line up right now

And if I could ask for one lens, it would be the 28-300L which I already own, but have it be a fixed f/2.8 This would be the most ideal lens if it was as fast as my 70-200 f/2.8 and had that low light capability. I dont care how heavy or big is would be, I'd carry a dang monopod around at all times if I needed too

1DsMK4 (when it comes out) if not that then the 1Dsmk3. Why? Cause it's the most expensive (and I don't need 10fps).

One lens would have to be the 24-70L, because it would be the most versatile.

1. Latest 1D. Like others, because it's the best in the lineup. I've always been a believer you buy the best you can afford then "grow into it".

2. I like my 24-105L, though I haven't given much thought beyond that.
