Adding on to what I have, 1d4 and 400/2.8.

Slightly more realistically, a 300/2.8, which I intend to own, in addition to the 1d4, within the next few years.

1. Already own it, MKIII. Why? Because I shoot professional sports and it's the best currently available with the features I want. If the reviews are good on the MKIV I will have one before I leave for Spring Training.

2. Already own it, 400 2.8.

Hi all,

Just wondering, If you could have a pick of any Canon DSLR and any lens (1 of each). What would they be?

1. Camera and why.

2. Lens and why.

Just wondering :)

1.) 7D because it is sexy and I still want a crop camera for wildlife.

2.) Canon 600mm f/4 because it is sexy and I want the reach for wildlife.

Im surprised that no-one else went for my suggestion of including the 1200mm f5.6L which once sold would allow almost the full collection of other lenses to be bought!

1D Mark 4. Because I haven't had the lastest and greatest since I bought my F1n (film) camera when they came out. I would like to be state of the art for a few days at least.

24-70L Because thats what I need to complete my L set of zooms, maybe an 85L because of the incredible images I've seen taken with it.

I hear ya! I used to own a Nikon F4 film camera. Now, times have changed, money is tight and I own a little Xsi. It's a fun camera but oh, I do want a Canon Mark IV. I really miss having the top of the line.

Notice that B&H has had theirs forever. Its not a lens you can sell quickly.
