HS Football - 1st Round Playoff

Here are some pics from the 1st round playoff game Gilroy @ Milpitas played on Saturday. It was probably one of the hardest HS football shoots I had all season. Something happened to the stadium lighting and they end up renting these portable diesel light towers that went maybe went up 20' or so. It made shooting low a real challenge with flare and huge dark areas in the field. C&C are welcome.

I think given the lighting situation you described, you did a great job. 2 is awesome

These look great. I had to shoot in the same conditions but do not have a flash setup
going on like yourself. Maybe next year I'll consider it, but I've always shot ambient.

I like the shots. I have never shot flash at night football games, but this makes me want to try it. Nice job!

By the way, I noticed some blur in a few of the shots [the footabll in shot #2, runner's feet in shot #8]. Is this ghosting due to the ambient light being too strong relative to the flash light?
