A few of my favorite shots from Kabul. These were taken in the city's oldest market. C&C appreciated.

I like the second shot, would love to see a b&w conversion of that. I think the wide angle doesn't work that well on the first shot. What are you doing in Afghanistan? Are you in the military?

thanks for the input, i will see how the 2nd works in b&w. Can you elaborate on shot 1? I am a private contractor and have been here for almost a year now but less than a month to go now.

Well I like the curtains and the guy but the angles look unnatural (because of the wide angle). Maybe a different crop might work better?

I think the gentleman is a Burqa salesman, and the 'curtains' are the product. :)

Yes, those curtains are burqas.

Thanks to all for the input, have been snapping shots for years but have only been taking pictures for a short time

Gotta love the selection they have, eh? I need to show my wife this..."see how good you have it?!?! -- some people elsewhere only get a choice between blue and blue, with the occasional white or green, which I can only assume cost an arm and a leg more".

seabee_shooter, these are the exception, not the norm. Beauty is where you find it but can be elusive here.
be safe when you get here
