Is this a barn owl?

hmmm, I think you're right. I was thinking grapevinicus wrappedupicus but rusticus wirus seem more likely. Sure had me fooled from the highway at 6 am. Thanks for the ID.

It looks like it's half cat, weird loooking critter. Would love to see a close-up of one of those, never heard of them.

I think Nova Scotia is a little out of it's range. This was in the Great Lakes area. They might reach there as global warming continues.
