Mike,

Yeah it sucks shooting just white people (and I mean white people) during bball season. Skin tones suck for basketball especially towards the end of the season.

Robert,

Yeah I can't wait to try it with a wide angle lens. I think it would be easier to focus that way, and get solid action.

The videos are really nice, and I was one of those saying what the heck do I want video for! lol Turns out it is a nice feature to have in a camera. I am or will never be a professional at video, but to me it is good enough

Well, this answers my question as to why you got rid of your 1D MkIIN...I bet that 7D is nice! I'm just breaking in my 1D2 after having a 50D. Loved your shots, so nice and clean!

I love all of the af possibilities of the camera. I would say the AF is as good as the Mark II, Mark IIN. it is pretty solid even in that really bad light

I wish you hadn't said that

Wide angle really helps a bunch. I have been using my 24 f/1.4 and 16-35 f/2.8 and find they both work very well for video.

The biggest plus is the increased DOF which makes up for my inability to accurately focus by looking at a LCD.

Wow Matt, I cannot tell you how impressed i am with the 7D's ability to capture light. 1, 2, and 6 would easily pass for strobed if I was not told otherwise. Nice and sharp, great whites.

I can can that I was bit put-off that I had to go to your blog to see the settings. I was glad I did. I want to only strobe hockey and wrestling this year, not Hoops. So your 7D examples really inspired me. I was hoping to peek at the EXIF or simply the basic setting here.

But then I saw the sports video and you reaffirmed my guess on how that would be. (1) quality for internet rebroadcast is great. Focus will be sporadic when shot at floor level. That's sad news, but one I expected.

Pretty good set for your 1st hop on the ole saddle. Looking forward to more.

Sorry about not posting my settings, in future postings I won't make people visit the site to see that. :)

I will only post the link to the site if I shoot a video of the game at times.

You can view exif on all images by going to my flickr page (link is in my signature)
