I just got a new cockatiel (she's 2 months old) and a new T1i with a nifty fifty!

I've had an XS and a 50D in the past with a variety of lenses (long story), but never a nifty, so I've been playing with it and my new subject.

Better light today, but I didn't do any pp - these next 2 are straight jpgs out of the camera (I smashed my laptop's screen accidentally the other day and that's the only thing I've got photoshop on ... :cry:)
