I may or may not have mentioned but my girlfriend is pregnant. She is...ugh, 15 or 16 weeks. I forget exactly but anyhow, she has a very small frame and is only really showing for the first time. So, a very impromptu shoot as it was Thanksgiving, we were walking off the food, and figured why not cause we were dressed so nice. Tell me what you think, I'll definitely get around to doing more with a tripod and better setup, possibly even have someone else take photos. I used the steps on playground for height and the hood to steady the lens. When I used the 70-200, the tripod collar did all the work.

hey you are a lucky man, practice as much as you can on her, being that she will probably be the most flexible mom you'll work with....i understand why you took these so early in the pregnancy, however they dont really come off as pregnancy photos, because of the absence of an actual belly....wait till shes showing more...anywhere from 7 to 9 months is perfect for shots.

I know and I wanted to capture a whole 1-9 months thing as I've seen before. Her frame is so small, we didn;t find out till she was 2 months. Thanks though! I do look forward to her showing more.

The first two shots have really busy bgs... Combined with the small stomach, these don't come off as maternity shots. The last three work much better--shallow dof and focus on the belly--it may be small, but in these shots she comes across as pregnant. She looks lovely, and I encourage you to continue to chronicle her pregnancy. I wish I had done so way back when...

Sorry, I also meant to wish you both a healthy and safe delivery. Congrats on your impending life change too.
