My new MkIII arrived on Tuesday and without any chance to practice getting used to it I had this game to cover the next evening. Whilst I'm still learning a lot about it I must say I love the camera and it is infinitely superior to anything I've ever owned.

Here's a selection from the game. EXIF should be intact. 3 lenses used. 24-70 f/2.8L, 70-200 f/2.8L and 300 f/2.8L

C&C always welcome.

Rob, #8 for me. lol nah man, All fantistic shots! So you think you will let me have a go of that MkIII at our next shot together? I was looking today at getting a MkIIn but thought the missus would kill me after just buying the 7D.

Great shots!

Ha ha yeah it's always tough knowing when the limit is! Gotta keep em happy.

Of course you can have a go mate, but like your 400 f/2.8 be warned, once you use it, you will want one!

Nice shots, Rob. The brilliant gym lighting helps a lot but it's great to see the Mark III performing well in the right hands. Number 4 is great!

Thanks Glenn,

It'll get a nice test at the WNBL gym next Wednesday though, it's an ISO 3200 1/320 @ f/2.8 court!

Haha still better than my local gym! I was shooting Av, ISO 3200, -1EC at f/2.8 and getting max speeds of 1/400  I wouldn't hesitate to go up to ISO 6400 on the Mark III, as those speeds I just mentioned were used with not only my current 1D Mark II, but my former 1D classic. Horrendous stuff!

They are so cool! I see you did not take them all from one place. I love #3 as I love to see them jump and hang mid air.

Thye look very nice Rob. The only complaint/crit/suggestion I'd offer is to watch your sharpening. A few look pretty over done to me, #1 and #6 especially.

Great images. At first I thought they were strobed. I just purchased a new 1dm3 myself, and I have been very impressed with its ability to focus in low-light gyms. How was your experience with focusing? Obviously the pictures you posted are in focus, but were you happy with the overall hit rate of in-focus shots?
Jeff
