Hi folks,

This is my first post. I've been learning photography for a couple of years in my spare time, and have a little home studio. I thought I would share some recent pics of a friend of a friend. C&C is welcome.

Thanks for looking,
Owen

agree with most! Not sure about the "so" straight pose in #5....she looks like she is really stretching it. Maybe overcompensating against the slouched look? And I am not sure about the texture in the white backdrop? I see it, barely, but it grabs my attention to try and figure out what it is.
Very pretty girl and colors/exposure are sweet!

Ohh..maybe it's not texture in the BG but where the spot light feathers in?

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I too think she resembles Jessica Biel. Here is one that made me make the connection:

I don't know who Jessican Biel is....not that it matters.

You did an outstanding job. Of the first set, I like the last photo the best.

I have a question: In that small cluster of four pictures where she appears to be laughing, smiling at something funny, etc., did she pose those smiles or were you making her laugh?

I ask because you (or she) did an incredible job getting those facial expressions. They are so natural.

You did a really good job.

What did you use as a background, and how did you keep the background out of focus? I'd really like to learn how to do this type of shooting but have no idea where to start.

Thank you. bw!

The picture you just posted (by itself) doesn't really strike me as great (although it's far better than I could do), but I looked at the others again and am amazed at how good they looked. I bet she is thrilled with the results.

Thank you. bw!

Welcome to the forum. These first shots are very good. You have a lovely model, and you've got nice lighting, dof and detail. Poses are nice too! The last shot you posted isn't at the same level of quality as the others, but those first few are real good!
