Here are a couple I did from a very short 2 hour e-session. There were 2 other photographers which were friends, but I just wanted a couple and help them out more.... Please let me know what you guys think?

THanks!

Nice set :)
1 is nice, but it reminds me of a "prom" pose.... I try to stay away from those, if I can. I do, however, really like the sun peeking through the clouds on this one :)
2 is stellar, for sure :) Love the GG Bridge in the BG.
3 would be good, but she looks uncomfortable and he has his hand on her stomach like she's preggo.
4 is awesome and my fav from the set! Super cute and I love the trolly! You posed them very well here.
In 5, his head is way too lost behind hers...if you had just moved him to his right, this would have been nice (aside from the pose being a little too "prom")
These are running a little on the warm side, but it doesn't really break it for me... I like 'em

Hhaha Thanks for your feedback.... Yeah I don't in general like people posing behind them.... The prom poses weren't my poses at all.... Cable car is the only pose of mine. The others were posed by the "official photographer" LOL....

Thanks again! Love to hear more feedback!

Good stuff. I really like the back-lighting in the last one. The lighting in the 1st is nice as well.

I agree that the posing could be improved a bit...maybe a bit more natural and less staged.

I love the warm glow of afternoon sun but they look a little too yellow on my monitor. Otherwise, a great set!

Life is hard...but I just take it one photograph at a time.

Same here. I like the warm feeling, but rather yellow on my laptop and desktop.

Is two hours really considered a "short" e-session? The OP was bouncing around to multiple locations, but my typical deal is about an hour in a park and I always find that's way more than is necessary. Not to hijack, but is a two-hour multi-location session the norm?

First of all, great job. Nice images. Couple of things...

(Side note: # your images, makes it easier to comment on...)
#2 and #3 her arms are a bit awkward, his face is partly hidden, etc. Those slight adjustments would really help. Preggo hand on stomach already been mentioned and it's true.

#4 and #5 are GREAT images, imo. I would just like to see more area around the subjects, maybe a little better composition than centered... But great backlighting and nice fill without too much. LOVE the warm myself. Makes 'em look healthy!

And the last shot's fun, but again I'd like to see a bit more of the setting. If you're going to use a beautiful setting, then show us a bit more of it. Maybe these are cropped, I don't know, but nice images!

As to Peacefield's Q, I'm sure it differs by shooter and even region, but I wouldn't consider that short myself. But not too long either. I'm usually about 1-2 hrs, and multi location is ok, but it'd have to be for a specific reason. After all, hopefully you can get amazing images in any location but certainly SF provides quite a few ideal settings in just a few places... Just my .02

I usually do 2-3 locations (not too far from each other but to give a different feel to the photos) and a couple of changes of outfits in 2 hours. I'm not claiming it's the right thing to do, it's just how I do it and my couple are aware it may take a little longer than an hour..:))

Thank you all! I can't test all my shots on different computers so I definitely rely on all you guys to let me know. Thanks so much for all your comments and keep them coming.

@zelseman = I applied some PS cooling filters as the images were edited and turned to psd, so I didn't try to mess with the temp as color balance just didn't work for me. I agree with you about the yellow nad orangish tinge I get.... but its been updated.

@Peacefield = I had 2 other "main" photographers, so I wasn't shooting all 2 hours, I maybe shot for 15 mins in each location doubling behind the other guys. I would agree 2 hours is not too long and not too short, but I just get fed up with the other two shooters... since I was just asked to tag along to kinda show them stuff.... poses locations etc.... it was the feeling I was getting.

@collier I agree with what you are saying. #4-5. Yes they were cropped actually, so you are thinking too tight crop? I guess its a preference thing maybe? I just didn't want to lose them either. The only pose I did ask for was cable car... the rest I was just seeing what the other shooters were thinking. Definitely too promish and I asked them to do a reshoot..... Wasn't paid either....

@Svetlana = It really depends on setting and lighting. I mean these shots were close to setting sun and there were clouds, so a lot depends on weather and setting. Remote flash setups bla bla bla... and it just rained earlier that day, so it was pretty ergh... dirty...

Overall the only thing I am glad is no one saw the clone outs. Most of the pictures have cars and parking lots in them..... Its the Marina green area, busy as all heck out there.....

trying to calibrate your monitor to please the viewing on other monitors is a waste. certain monitors are better than others. Even if people use the same calibration method, if on a different monitor, it will look different. Just calibrate your monitor to produce great looking photos for whatever medium they will be printed on. This only works though if you consitantly use the same printer. :) Invest in a good monitor and use the calibration tools that come with it. Don't waste money on all that other junk.

As for your pictures, don't be afraid to put some space between the couple.

I do one hour, one location. And three hour, two locations. However, we try to encourage locations that offer more than just one background or subject to shoot with.
