You get use to what you have. I use to hate where the ISO button is on the D3s. Now I know I can change the ISO while shooting without taking my eye out of (?) the viewfinder. It's actually a good design once you get use to it.

I would deal with any button layout if i had a d3s :)

Yeh I agree. It's way too much. AFAIK the A900 has the same sensor (though Sony sucks at using it) so it can't be the sensor adding on the price. If they made it about $5500USD I would consider buying one (second hand ;) ).

though really, Nikon d3x has better IQ. I've shot it with 5d mark II head to head - there's a difference. And it is noticeable. But 8k... 8 damn thousand bucks for a 3 years old model???!!! just for that I hate the world :)

When the D4x is out I might be able to afford one at a greatly reduced 2nd hand price.

I know someone who owns one. He says that the D3s is better for most things (which makes sense) but sometimes you just want the pure quality.

Probably about $8000 I'd say. The D3x is about $7100 new now, if you get a good price (in HK at least).
