Anders,

No description and no spec? Fake I'd say. Interesting choice of price in dollars, higher than I'd have been led to expect.

Since it's New Zealand dollars, it's a bit cheaper than what you normally have to pay for a 1Ds Mark III in Sweden.

It would be great to start getting some proper information leaking out. Canon seem to think that leaks are bad, but they keep the media and likely customers (like what I is!) interested.

Let's face it; leaks or not, we are very attentive and anxious to see what the 1Ds IV has to officially offer. I can understand entirely Canon wanting to keep things under wraps as it is not only customers looking to scoop up that information, but the competition as well. Surely they don't want to give the competition anymore foresight than they have to, no?

Not to mention, isn't this what the edge of your seat was made for? ;)

I have to agree here. With Canon keeping this camera under wraps, it makes me think that Canon will give us something new and innovative. Am I on the edge of my seat? For sure!! :D

That makes two of us and I won't even be purchasing this camera for two years when a 1Ds V may hit the market. I'm just waiting for the 1Ds IV to come out to scoop up an 1Ds III at a price comparable to theft honestly. :p

I don't blame ya. The 1Ds IV is going to be an expensive piece. Snatching up a 1Ds III at a lower price is going to be a bargain. :)

The 1dsIII are already selling for very low prices second hand..

I got mine for 3700$ and I saw many going at 3500 and less now.

I'm waiting for the sub-$3K wave. I have a 1Ds II with only 6,000 actuations on it so I'm good for right now.

That's what we all thought about the 1D IV. Nothing new or innovative about it really. Great camera though. Just nothing "walk-on-water" about it.

True. It has (slightly) improved AF and better noise control though, which is good.

Video is a given these days as is improved LCDs etc. So I can see what you mean about it not being a super revolutionary camera.

You're right. The 1D IV is indeed a great camera and technology is slightly improved. My expectations are high and the only thing that could bring this camera over the top is with new sensor technology (DIGIC V). Can it happen? I hope so. :)

digic 5 will be ready for 5D3 to support all of these new video features. 1Ds4 will have dual 4s to keep it on the same line as 1D4. 32mpx sounds about right but apart from that we can just speculate.

EDIT:
but hey according to Tim Smith, Canon is a new company now ^^ so maybe ... just maybe, we'll have a camera to match its name :D
