The 1D3 was $4500, 1D4 $5000 and the dollar has been falling against the Yen seems like forever. With the bigger sensor it'll be $5999. This also means the d4 is going to be 16 to 18 MP too otherwise Canon would have used an image sensor design with a comparable pixel count.
