Just seen the latest Canon Rumours CR1 report, I will be very disappointed if its only 30MP and I'm just completely uninterested in the rest:

Full HD video and backlit 29.6MP Digic V
AVHCD
Back lit CMOS sensor effectively doubles the sensitivity of sensor.
6666×4444 pixel sensor becomes the highest resolution 35mm sensor
Back lighting of the sensor improves peripheral performance with ultrawide lenses
Combining hybrid phase difference and contrast detect AF using the main image sensor
High speed phase difference AF and high accuracy contrast detect for high speed AF performance
Hybrid viewfinder. Normal SLR with mirror down or OLED EVF display during liveview mode
5.5FPS in normal mode
7.5MP Liveview mode @30fps
1080/30P and 720/60P

30p??? thought they learned their lesson. good thing it is only a CR1.

If Canon can integrate a radio-frequency remote flash triggering system with their new pro body and a new flash line which gives a working distance of a few hundred feet, I'll have a camera-gasm. Integrated geotagging would be nice too.

Essentially radio poppers built into camera and flash units. Nice!

Yeah, then maybe I'd actually buy Canon hot-shoe flashes again, hahahaha.

I think he is referring to the video frame-rate rather than the project resolution of the sensor but yeah, 32MP feels about right.

You and I both, figuratively speaking. I want this thing to come out as soon as possible so the 1Ds III sales frenzy can begin.  but seriously,.

Andrew, welcome to 1Ds mark 4 Anonymous. Where us addicted types, desperate for our next fix grasp at any scraps of information, even if its total nonsense.

Is there any lens in existence that can resolve 32MP? If they're going to boost the megapixels, they'd better AT LEAST match Nikon D3x's low light performance. I say keep the current resolution and get some serious ISO hyperperformance! I can just imagine the insane RAW file sizes coming out of that camera. How about Quad-DIGIC V processing? LOL.
