Most definatly... if you upscale the sensor in the 7D to FF its a whopping 46.5MP...!!!

Dual D4 processors would mean it would only be able to shoot at 3 fps so i think 28MP is looking about right to keep the 5fps.

As a former 7D owner I really hope they don't do that.

The thing sucks for noise.

Keep a 21mp sensor in there, boost it's ISO performance 3 stops.

Ok. Canon releases a bunch of revamped white telephoto lenses,extenders, a new fishy, 75-300 L, and a 60D. Does anyone here think Canon is going to release a 1Ds MK IV?

Prediction on Photokina 2010

60D announcement: August 26, 2010 (same 8/26!)
1Ds4 announcement: September ??, 2010 (maybe 2 weeks later??)
Photokina 2010: September 21 to 26, 2010

I hope Canon is consistent this time so I can get 1Ds4 in time for assignments!

I hope so. Photokina might be a dissapointment. If they delay release of the 1Ds IV, I predict November the latest.

The fact that they are announcing all of these prior to the 1Ds IV is interesting indeed. It truly makes you ponder what they have in store for Photokina, if anything else at all.

A 24-70mm 2.8L IS II and a 1Ds IV would be sweet. Or hey, a 135mm 1.8L IS!

Canon used to suffer from Premature News Release prior to PMA as well (back when they were still attending PMA...)

You'd get all the release news in advance of the show and then nothing really worth writing home about during the actual show.

I'd pick up both. I have no question in my mind and I'm sure I'd tell myself afterwards, "I'm set."

And then go buy a 5D III and a whole bunch of other presently non-existing gear.

135 f1.8 IS ^_^ lol. IS is basically a standard now. but ya, where is that 1Ds4!? I reallly want it to be out already. It will clarify a lot of things for canon users. I mean, we'll know what to expect for the nest 3-4 years. lol. as nothing can clearly be better than 1Ds4 ^_^

EDIT:
we re still missing G12 and 1Ds4. 2 pro cams for their segment at Photokina!? could that be true!? aaagrrrr, where is that 1Ds4
