I read the release notes for windows. It over writes version 2.5 in windows. Question one: If I don't like it. Can I uninstall it, go back to 2.5 and import my catalog not losing my edits? Question 2: When they final the release will I be informed of the final update? I have a new 7D and have not liked the files that mush yet. Still learning all the new AF stuff. Thanks

Acording to the Adobe website, "If you wish to return to Lightroom 2.5 after installing Lightroom 2.6, simply reinstall Lightroom 2.5 from your original download after uninstalling Lightroom 2.6 using the Windows add/remove program utility...Both versions of the application share the same catalog format allowing your catalogs to be opened by either version without complications."

You can check out the actual web page at: http://labs.adobe.com/wiki/index.php/Lightroom_2.6 (external link)

Hope this helps!

Question 2: When they final the release will I be informed of the final update?

On the first page of the Preferences, tick the box for "Automatically check for updates." Or in the Help menu periodically select "Check fo updates."
