Hi guys, I finally got round to starting up an account with Zenfolio which I will integrate with my 'A Year In Photos' site in order to cater for print sales. Have a look and tell me what you think, anything I need to change? I've still to add a couple of galleries.

Wow.
Your stuff looks great. You are a perfect example for the argument that you don't need to spend thousands and thousands of dollars to get top notch work. Very well done.

Thanks very much! Yeah, it's probably just as well, since I don't have thousands and thousands of dollars. :D

Another Zenfolian! You made a good choice in choosing them to host your images, they are fantastic.

I also have to agree with lewdog, you pictures look great.

Love your Abstracts and Light Paintings.

One thought though. I think some of the "wow factor" is lost since you only allow relatively small images to be seen. Zen is "right click protected" and as someone viewing on a relatively large monitor, I'd love to be able to see a larger image.

Certainly your call of course... I'm on Zen as well.

Thank you, I appreciate that. Yeah, I did the free trials of both Zenfolio and Smugmug but in the end I decided to go with Zenfolio because of the fact that they use print labs outside of the States.

Thank you, yeah the light trails have attracted some attention I have to say. I didn't realise I had the image sizes set at medium. I've put them at large now, is that better?

Nice site. Where have I seen your work before? The shot of the seaweed with the pier and sun in the background is very familiar, are you also on pBase?

No, I'm not. Some of my stuff has been posted on here before so you may have seen it then? Thanks for having a look.

Spectacular work. You could put your photos on anything and people will stop and stare. You're what I want to be when I grow up (photographically speaking).

As a Zenfolio user, I would heartily recommend it. The site builder is much easier to use than SmugMug's, and I think the sites look more professional too. As far as money goes, it depends on what you're doing; I made a few bucks off sports stuff during my trial but not enough to deem it worthwhile. YMMV.

Thank you very much, I appreciate that. I would recommend a Zenfolio account, although, to be honest, I probably don't make enough to cover the cost. I still like it though as I like to know that the option is there for people to purchase prints and I like the complete website solution that the premium plan provides.

Thanks very much indeed. Yeah, that shot is a personal favourite too. I actually got it printed as a canvas for my wife's birthday, she loves it.

Yeah, I took out a trial of the two and was more impressed with the overall look and feel of the Zenfolio setup. That's not to say it's necessarily better, each to their own I suppose.
