Not sure if this should be in rumors, or what... But anyway, read this; http://www.engadget.com …meras-need-not-be-boring/ (external link)

kinda neat looking. would be tough to store due to it's odd shape. I think stability would be tough too, especially with a long lens on it.

"Modern SLR is over 50 years worth of evolution, and it is designed the way it's designed with utilitarian, photo-centric mindset with a purpose of giving you the best photograph in the easiest possible way. This looks like a design student wanting to get some website traffic, nothing more."

I was gonna quote that too, nothing more fitting to be said about it.

Innovation would never take place if the status quo wasn't challenged every once in a while.

Hey guys, it's such a good idea, I mean.... look at its structural integrity! It's a triangle.....minus one of the sides =/.

Okay, well, ummmmmm, it's compact?

Maybe the boomerang design helps it Jedi-mind trick back to your hand if you accidentally drop it? no?

That's gotta be the ugliest concept in photography... to date, baha.

Like this one

That was pretty damn cool in my opinion and truthfully, a pretty well-featured camera for what it was...it even has a built-in low angle finder, Thats nicely thought out :P and it has a 3-point AF system...Not bad at all

f/2.8 lenses or anything with the weight greater then a 18-55 kit lens would give big problems.

Horrible design!

The design concept sucks big time - it's unusable with longer heavier lenses and it doesn't have a mirror box from the size/look of it, just a rear LCD VF. Olympus is way better with innovations :) and they actually make them.

And not to be irrational, but the girl who posted the blog / the designer must be a nit-wit, did any of you pay attention to the title?

"Nova DSLR concept reminds us that cameras need not be boring"

Of course cameras are boring... if you can't take the time to pick up a traditional SLR or DSLR and learn how to use it.... because I'm quite sure that EVERYBODY here feels that they've actually considered the fact that they're tired with a camera design that works perfectly....

People that think cameras are boring are not photographers- for them there is an endless array of brightly colored P&S with matching pleather wallets.
