Hello all!

Thanks for reading.

I am looking to purchase this bag for daily use and travel. Do you think it would be suitable for a 1Ds II, 85 1.2L II and 17-40 f/4L plus water bottle?

Thanks in advance!

*EDIT*
Nevermind! Found this thread (https://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=587520), which answers my question.

I'm using the same bag for EOS 40D with 24-70 f/2.8L attached. I find it very difficult to remove the camera with the lens attached while carrying the bag. With the above setup, it is also diificult to put another lens in the internal compartment.

Thanks for the reply.

Maybe I should look at a slightly larger bag then....

I can easily carry 1D3 or 5D and 24-70 plus 70-200 2.8 in mine and have no problem removing the camera regardless of which of those lenses is on it.

That's good to know too.
I envisage that I"d be travelling with the 85 mounted on the 1Ds II and the 17-40 in a pocket. I'd have other travel essentials fitted into the other pockets. . . . .

With the F3x, the hooded 17-40 won't fit into either of the main compartment "divider sleeves"; the bag includes a padded divider that will fit between them, but could also be used to place between the 17-40 on the bottom of the bag and the camera/85. The sleeves can handle smaller diameter lenses like the 35 f/2, 50 f/1.4 or 1.8, 85 1.8 or 70-300. They're also handy for keeping batteries or a P&S in the main compartment.

Thanks for taking the time to reply, Jon.

It looks like I'll have to go a bigger bag as I have the 85 1.2 .......

I use the slightly larger F4AF. The large internal divider can hold a hooded 17-40 or 24-105 while the two smaller dividers can handle either lens minus the hood. I've never handled the 85 1.2 so I don't know how well that would fit.

Given that your lenses tend towards short and wide I'm thinking that the F2 would be the better choice for you.
