I no longer find the ACR profile listed in the Camera Calibration panel of ACR 5.6 when opening RAW files generated with the 7D. Only Adobe Standard and the usual Camera Faithful, Neutral, Portrait, Landscape and Standard. ACR 5.6 still displays the ACR 4.4 profile with RAW files from the 40D. Anyone know why the ACR profile is missing with 7D files? I became used to the tones and colors produced by the ACR profile and would like to have it back. Thanks!

I've never had a profile called "ACR". Just the profiles from when Adobe added support for my camera -- ACR 4.4.

I've never seen an "ACR" profile either. I rarely look in that section, I just use whatever the default is. 7D works fine.

Latest is "ACR 4.4" I think (might depend on camera). After that it was renamed to "Adobe Standard".

Thank you. With 40D files, I see both the ACR4.4 and the Adobe Standard options. With 7D files, ACR4.4 is gone, so your explanation makes sense. With 40D files I consistently found the Adobe Standard was introducing redder tones and opted always for ACR4.4.

Well, IMO the "Adobe Standard" setting sucks as well as the "ACR" settings did. I use "Camera Neutral" as a default ;)

My ACR, along with the camera profiles has 'ACR 4.6' and 'Adobe Standard' and yes, they basically suck IMO :-)
