I have a Slingshot 200AW that has been around in a few hikes and has taken dust from all over the world. Not to speak of my own sweat. Has anyone attempeted to clean/wash a Lowepro bag? Thanks!

Q: How do I clean my Lowepro product?
A: Proper cleaning of all Lowepro products should be handled with care. We caution against use of any detergent and recommend mild soap. We recommend spot treating or hand washing with warm/cold water and mild soap, followed by hanging the item to dry.

Yes, thanks, I know about the Lowepro FAQs. I am more interested about the experiences from real users.

Machine washing coated fabrics tends to play havoc with the coating. So do what the FAQ says.

mine's been through hikes as well...
I let the mud dry, and once it becomes dirt, I brush it off with a hard brush, and then proceed to that spot cleaning prescribed by the faq, and that's mainly wetting that brush and rubbing the dirt

I've always used FOAMING CAR carpet or upholstery cleaner on my bags, works great.
