I am heading into the mountains this winter with my 40d. This is my first trip into the cold with a digital SLR. What can I do to protect the camera, lenses, etc?

Other than that, nothing special. Just remember when you come in from the cold to let your gear acclimatize to the humidity inside.

I was in Kansas City last winter, the LCD just turned off by itself and wouldn't turn back on for at least 2 min or until i went back inside the car because of the cold weather. Jerome
