You should invest in Canadian Diamonds. They're increasingly rare and considered to be the top quality in the world..check out:

I bought the diamond for my little lady's engagement ring @ blue-nile ... had it sent to my jeweler who made the ring for me, and after everything was done, I took it to another jeweler to get it appraised for insurance. The diamond appraised at $5,900 after I paid $4,600 for it.

I've sworn off diamonds. I've bought two engagement rings - one for $7500 and one for $12000. Only one wedding though and that didn't last - the divorce cost me more than the wedding!

Living in sin is the way to go!

I must've been feeling damned patriotic, I don't even remember replying to this thread. Rare my ass, I've been hunting for diamonds too and I've been finding ALL about how "rare" diamonds actually are. I feel like a tool now.

10g for a ring?

Do you have a brother? LOL.

I knew this question was going to get asked LOL. 10 g on a friggen ring?? Hey bud, do you need a wedding photographer? I'll do it cheap ;) 11 grand..pm me

I kid, I sympathize with you. Honestly I don't want diamond..everyone gets diamond. I was thinking of one of those M-something synthetic diamonds that are supposed to be 12x as brilliant and rare as the regular ones. I can't remember where to get them now. EIther that or something made by www.korite.com (external link) (ammolite is far rarer than diamond and pretty upmarket).
