Hi everyone,

Not too long ago I started a little collection of cameras which so far has grown to 12 members... and i never did take a photo of them. ever.
Well last week i decided i should do them some justice and keep a photographic journal of the cameras i bought. So, anyway I used available light no reflectors etc. taken all with my 450D and 70-200mm L lens.

OVER to you: what do you ppl think of the composition, the angles i've chosen, the lighting?

And if anyone wishes to share any information about cameras and my collection please do :) Here are a few of the shots taken. as always they are viewable on my flickr page.

Good job! Exposures are bang on, sharp and good use of DOF, composition is interesting and brings a more artistic view of the camera collection. The last image seems a little cluttered with the camera at bottom left encroaching.

I don't know much about vintage cameras but you've made them interesting to look at :)

I'm not a fan of tilts that don't serve a purpose, and I'm just not seeing the purpose in these cases.

Thanks for both your comments. With regards to tilting, maybe I am a bit too aggressive with tilts, however by being a regular follower of groups and sets relating to vintage cams I note quite a lot of tilts which I quite like. That is just my taste.

Maybe these images are more to your liking? Any CC about composition, lighting use of DOF and setting would be a great help to me!

To be honest the tilts on these make me uncomfortable. I'd prefer to see one straight on, off centered and with the full reflection in the table. Even centered with a full reflection. I could see one tilt spicing things up but all tilts is a big turn off. Great exposure, dof, and rich tone, though.

I'll agree with this also. Great shots and tones, but I'd like to see some straight on. I bet they would look fantastic.

thanks for all your comments guys, i think its safe to say my tilting habits are not always welcomed. Most of my friends agree with this too so i guess ill work on that. Next i wud like to try recreate a scene from a particular decade and include some people in it, holding the camera of that era. i think it would be an interesting thing to do :)

Hi Chris, I like your photos. I like those twin-lens cameras very much!
