A man and lady had 3 of these guys crawlilng around on the beach over the weekend....

I had never seen one up close and personal, so I asked if I could shoot a few images of them. Pretty cool.. but I admit that I didn't want to get too close to them.

They live in the house with the family and just rome about like dogs.... made my skin crawl to think of it.. lol...

Thanks guys... they were pretty cool, even though they give me a creepy crawly feeling to my skin.. haha

I must say, that doesn't look like it would be man's best friend...:)

Great shots, I especially like the third one.

Sweet shots! I love the closeup. I would love to have one (or three) of these around the house!

How long were these guys?

Great shots. The detail for the closeup is awesome. What lens were you using?

Thanks for the kind words guys,... lol,,, I honestly didn't want to get too close to the things.. haha...

@jmforever... I was just using my 24-70 nothing too special. It's just that it was really sunny so the focus was grabbing nicely.

@morlow... They were pretty big... There was a lady with a small dog. kinda like a yorkie I think.. they might have been close in size... I'd guess these guys were maybe as long as my arm.... ??
I'm terrible making judgement calls.. let me see if I have an uncropped shot that has someone petting it to give you perspective. lol..

I love Iguanas! I had a four or five-foot one when I was a kid.
I saw a whole bunch roaming around the Florida Keys a couple years back. Cool pictures!
