I've felt my photo's look too.. plain? I just want my photos to stand out a bit more and not look so boring.

It said that photos not taken from eye level are the most interesting. Super wide, from above or below etc. Like your first photo is something someone may see everyday from that same perspective and that's what makes it less interesting but could potetially be a very cool shot from a different perspective.
