Mufatau, Here's a pic of how I use the cord. I really like your idea of re-enforcing that part of the bracket however I won't be able to mount it this way if i have that gold screw in your pic unless I use the thumbscrew.

Yes.. I get it now.. There will be no hole on the bottom to attach it to the stand.. but then you could use it in conjuction with the stroboframe adapter.. Here is the link.
