I haven't posted anything here for ages but after taking a lot of 'ok' photos I feel Im finally starting to see signs of improvement, I know I'll get an honest opinion here ;) so I thought I'd share some of my recent seascapes and see what you lot think...

It could be the smaller sizes presented here, but in the first two photos the rocks in the foreground don't appear to be in real sharp focus. I think the images would be better if they were (again, assuming they're not).

I like the tones and moody feel to the third one, that's an interesting one! It could well be the cloud formations giving this impression, but this one kind of looks like the horizon is a bit tilted. I like this shot.

The last one is quite striking, lots happening in that scene! Again though, it could be the size here but the foreground doesn't appear to be in real sharp focus. Otherwise, like I said, I find this to be a striking scene.

Thanks, yes they were... top 3 are Walton, the bottom one is Dovercourt. I'm planning on venturing into Suffolk if it ever stops raining!

Are you local?

Thanks for the feedback cobra, much appreciated... I think the foreground focus thing is a bit of both, a couple of them do look sharper at full size, the others could be better. The optimum point of focus is something I think I need to keep working on.

The horizon is straight in the third one but you're right the clouds make it look a bit off, I often wonder whether the horizon should be perfectly straight or just visually look straight?
