I'm happy with my 1d mark 3, plus, i'd like to see reviews and see how the 1d mark 4 fairs out in a year.

Isn't is sad that because of the past issues with the 1D that some people are playing the wait and see card. Yea, I know, it was Canon's fault but it is unfortunate. If there were no past issues, I bet there would be fewer waiting and more on preorder. As for me, unless I win the lottery or something, I can only dream of even affording a used 1D MkII. :-(

It keeps showing up in my Gold Box on Amazon but I'm going to need more than a 5% discount to pull the trigger, even though I know I can turn around and sell it for 10% profit...

Pre-ordered but from my local camera store. They are offering at $4,899.00. But of course
I have to pay state tax which makes it a bit more than B&H.

BUT SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL CAMERA STORE!!!!!!

My Mark III is good enough for what I do...besides, IV is too ex for me and would rather get a 1Ds Mark III once price drops to a comfortable level for me.

Can't agree more...I'm the type of person who always waits for a good review period on new items

i don't believe it. they were all over the 7d even tho it was a brand new camera in a new line.

It's reasonably price but 1D IV is pretty expensive.
