My band practices at my church, so i show up for practice and a wedding is about to happen. Needless to say our practice was cancelled.
We went out for some food while waiting for the wedding to finish.
When I get back I see the ceremony is over and there are many people taking pictures of the couple with disposable cameras and small inexpensive digitals.
I happen to have my outfit with me (Pentax ist DS with dedicated auto zoom TTL flash).
I walk over to the person who was in charge and told him I was an amatuer photographer, then asked if the bride would like some pictures taken.
he said no because she was "all pictured out", but at that moment the bride walked over. She saw my outfit and said "Wow... Ok I can do some more photos". I guess it looked impressive.
The back of the church had a huge black backdrop and the church organ was covered with a large white sheet.
I set them up where I could bounce light off the white material and i kept the backdrop out of focus.
The result was suprising. I think they look like studio shots.
