here is my plan and i have a question

ok i want to buy a 1D mark II and sell my XS because one of my friends is offering a sweet deal on the 1D... i would sell my XS and with that my 18-55mm lens. i dont take many pictures with it as i am into macro and just out there photos... any thoughts, is this a good idea to go without having a lens this wide? i have a 50mm 1.8, 100mm 2.8 and 70-200 4L

If you don't feel like you need it or use it then no its not a bad idea? There's no rule that you HAVE to have an UWA.

There are TONS of options for "standard zoom" lenses that would work well on 1D.

The EF-S 18-55 (which only works on Rebels/xxD/7D) is equivilant to 28-88mm in full frame. The 1D is 1.3x sensor which is not quite full frame, but it's still quite a bit wider then a Rebel. You could always find a 28-135IS which would work nicely on the 1D. Or many other inexpensive older EF lenses that are out there.

But if you don't need it, you don't need it!

Also I think your 50mm will be much nicer to use on a 1D

2 more questions. 1. the camera has about 114k actuations.. is that ok??? and 2. how much does a charger cost for these cameras, because i cant seem to find a price anywhere

18-55mm EF-S...means it will not fit on 1.3 crop or FF camera


100k actuations on a shutter designed to last 300k...I would not worry unduly.
