Before/After - Did I help it? Any suggestions?

I was limited to Lightroom as photoshop is giving me fits.

Any suggestions? What would you do? Did I improve on the photo at all?

The second one is better, prefer contrasts in such shots...here's an edit...not all like it in this tone :).

I think somewhere between your "after" and Luvdodo's edit would be perfect. Luvdodo's is a tad overdone, for my taste, while I agree your edit could stand just a little more contrast. Still, you are definitely headed in the right direction!

I don't know why but I've always seen a delta in the way I see an image processed in LR versus what I see on a website (in this case POTN)...The processed pic wasn't as dark inside Adobe LR. Strange, some day I'll figure that out.

I get that to some degree as well.

I find I need to back off the blacks and contrast a bit to get it to look "right" on the web.
