video camera memory - which type??

Hi, I am considering purchasing a new video camera for approx $2000 Aus. Possibly a Canon or Sony.
The Canon has 64Gb of internal flash memory as well as memory card. The Sony has several different models - internal flash memory or hard disk.
Which is the best method of storage.
For still work I have a 40D and 50D.
