Thanks for posting these, Stan. In another thread , I had asked you if you had managed any Manatee shots. Now I know, well done. We are leaving here for Florida on Wednesday. Homassasa Springs is on my list of "must visits". We will be at Salt Springs and apparently Manatees come almost that far in land. Regardless, we will go to them. Homassasa is, I believe, a little over an hour from where we will be camped.

It's probably 75 miles, I'd say 1.5 hours, to Homosassa Springs. Salt Springs is a pretty good location. We saw sandhill cranes right in the campground, as wells as hawks, woodpeckers and small birds. Oh yeah, egrets and herons. Juniper springs is a nice place nearby to visit, maybe make the canoe run if it's not too cold. Hope you have a great time.
