I am looking to upgrade my 40D.
Obviously the 7D has caught my eye.I went to my local shop with one of my CF cards.
I formatted my CF to the 7D. I took a few shots in RAW. Uploaded them into my Aperture library and "Unsupported Image Format" appeared.
Does the Aperture program not handle the new 7D as yet?
If there is a solution, please let me know.
Thanks.

Apple will eventually release an update that will support RAW files from the 7D. No one really knows when, but I would suspect that it will be sometime in the next month or two.

Apple has to release and updated Camera Raw support. Until then use DPP, or download the ACR Release Candidate 5.6 and use lightroom/photoshop.

Or shoot RAW+JPG(F), I've done that and successfully split out the full res jpg, I don't have Aperture with me at work so I can't tell you how to do it, but it can be done.

Just use DPP to process the RAW file until Apple releases an update for Aperture.

Just FYI....Start the update software program on your Mac and it will upgrade the Raw Processing allowing your to convert using Aperture 2, iPhoto 08 and 09. Mine just updated today.

Yep, the RAW release was updated. I found it interested they released the MKIV update before the camera was released, where it always takes a few months post-release for other cameras.
